Study: Majority reports a positive experience with geofencing at work

When combined with mobile time tracking, geofencing can be used to remind workers to clock in or out. It can also be used to create safer job sites. But only 32 percent of our survey respondents said they’ve used the tech at work. Of those employees, 65 percent had a positive experience. And there’s certainly a correlation between an employee’s understanding of GPS and their comfort level with the tech. The better employees understand GPS tracking, the more comfortable they are with it.

95% of TSheets mobile app customers use less than 30 MB of data per month. That’s according to user mobile data usage from February 2018 to April 2018. The same data showed, on average, TSheets mobile app customers use about 5 MB of data per month. You can check how much data the app is using on your iPhone by going to Settings > Mobile > TSheets. You can check how much data the app is using on your Android by going to Settings > Connections >Data usage > Mobile data usage>App > Application manager > TSheets. Settings > Connections >Data usage > Mobile data usage>> App > Application manager > TSheets.

The TSheets app only uses a small percentage of your device's battery power. The exact rate of battery used varies by device and app use.

The TSheets iOS app uses about 6514.8 MB of storage space. The Android app uses about 30 MB of storage space. The amount of storage used depends on your role, the number of people you manage, and your permissions.

The TSheets app needs to access some of your mobile device's functions. Be assured that no one at TSheets, at any point, can access your personal information.

TSheets only records employee locations when employees are on the clock. If geofencing is enabled, the TSheets app must always have access to employees’ locations.

GPS data received when employees are off the clock or on break will never be accessible by employers, admins or TSheets.
