How to track time on your mobile device

Tracking time on your mobile device is simple and easy. You can clock in and out, switch jobs, and see who’s working directly on your smartphone. Follow these steps to track time on a mobile phone: 

  1. Sign up for a free TSheets trial—no credit card required. 
  2. Invite employees to download the app from Google Play or the App Store.
  3. Open the Time Clock window in the app.
  4. Select a job or task.
  5. Select Clock In. 
  6. Select Clock Out, when you’re done for the day.

The TSheets app needs to access some of your mobile device's functions. Be assured that no one at TSheets, at any point, can access your personal information.

TSheets Projects and timesheet signatures are available for TSheets Elite users. Elite is ideal for project-based businesses. It also includes features for team management and collaboration.

TSheets only records employee locations when employees are on the clock. If geofencing is enabled, the TSheets app must always have access to employees’ locations.

GPS data received when employees are off the clock or on break will never be accessible by employers, admins or TSheets.
