The Coil Group, based out of metro Detroit, is fanatical about arming employees with mobile tools that drive productivity and fuel collaboration. An enterprise consulting company, they provide mobile strategy, UX services and mobile application development services to public sector, mid-market and Fortune 1000 companies.
Since their employees work on multiple projects at once, The Coil Group needed a solution to help them accurately track employee time per project and report notes to each project in real–time. “We tried using several online project management and collaboration solutions but the disconnect between time entry and our billing system started to become a major issue,” noted Coil Group President, Jim Brown. “I was spending far too much time focused on extracting notes and data and inputting it into Quickbooks instead of growing the business.”
“I was spending far too much time focused on extracting notes and data and inputting it into Quickbooks instead of growing the business.”
Looking for a better solution to meet the needs of his crew, Brown knew the solution they needed would be in real time, allow project notes, would incorporate mobile apps, and seamlessly integrate with QuickBooks.
Finding TSheets through the Intuit App Center, Brown continued that it “allowed our small team and contractors to enter their time and notes via their laptops and mobile devices. It totally simplified our billing and as a mobile technology company, we appreciate the mobile tools for iOS and Android.”
“but the accuracy of data, the speed of information and the free time that I have as a result of using TSheets is a factor in our growth.”
Since moving to TSheets, Coil Group has tripled their number of full–time employees, not including their team of contractors. Profits are up, billable hours are maxed out and customer satisfaction is at an all time high.
“I can't say it is all due to TSheets,” says Brown, “...but the accuracy of data, the speed of information and the free time that I have as a result of using TSheets is a factor in our growth.”
