Can employees be easily added or deleted as necessary?
Yes. Adding or archiving employees is easy. Adding an employee takes just a few minutes, and archiving an employee (you can always access this employee’s information or activate him or her later if needed!) takes just a few clicks.
What are some tricks to build a schedule quickly?
Create a shift that includes multiple employees all at one time. This works well for shifts with the same start/end date. If your schedule is pretty consistent from week to week, use the Copy Previous Week functionality to simply copy the schedule template once it’s built out.
How do employees add PTO time to the calendar?
Make sure you have PTO enabled (just go to “Company Settings”, select “Advanced” and tab over to PTO to enable and allow employees to submit. You can further configure your PTO settings under the left menu option “Paid Time Off (PTO)” found under the “Manage” section). Then, employees can enter their PTO from the web dashboard or mobile app. Any saved PTO entries will appear on the schedule for the day specified.
How do employees find out about shifts they’re assigned to?
You can customize the way employees are notified about a new shift. Your options include email, text notifications, push notifications—or all three! As soon as a new shift or job is assigned and publish, your employee will be sent a notification in the format you choose!
Can I set up an employee to manage the schedule?
Any employee with manager-level permissions will have the ability to edit the schedule. You’ll also have the ability to give employees permission to manage only the schedule. Simply go the Employee Editor, click on the Permissions tab, and check the box entitled Manage Schedules For Their Group. This gives the employee permission to manage the schedule, without giving the employee access to other managerial tasks.
Can I create multiple managers in your scheduling software?
Yes, you can allow as many employees as you’d like to have manager-level permissions in TSheets.

With TSheets, your employees’ time data and scheduled shifts and jobs go hand in hand. When you create shifts or jobs, you’ll have the ability to specify job codes, billable or nonbillable time, and add notes to the job or shift.
