Why using TSheets for engineering means no detail left behind

No effort is too small to matter. Whether your engineering team is on the manager or maker’s schedule, tracking time spent on tasks and projects reveals invaluable data for everyone. Time data informs how teams can define their schedules for similar work and businesses can allocate resources for future projects. But it’s also about time away from work. The TSheets time-off tracker helps leads and managers prevent burnout by making sure team members get the breaks they deserve.

FAQs about time tracking for engineers

TSheets customers say they add, on average, 11% more billable time to their invoices just by tracking every second worked.1 They also say they save an average of three hours a week managing employee time.2

1Based on a survey of 924 businesses that use TSheets for invoicing and report billing more. On average, they report adding 11% more billable time to their invoices. TSheets conducted an internal survey in January 2018.
2TSheets surveyed 2,473 customers in the U.S. in September 2018, asking, "Are you seeing any savings in the time it takes to manage employee time since you started using TSheets?" Respondents had a choice of selecting No, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours, or entering the number of hours themselves into a free text field. The average time saved was then calculated from these responses.

The TSheets app does not run continuously, so it only uses a small percentage of your mobile device's battery power. The exact rate of battery used varies by device and app use.

95% of TSheets mobile app customers use less than 30 MB of data per month. That’s according to TSheets customer mobile data usage collected between February 2018 and April 2018. The same data showed, on average, TSheets mobile app customers use about 5 MB of data per month. You can check how much data the app is using on your iPhone by going to Settings > Cellular > TSheets. You can check how much data the app is using on your Android by going to Settings > App > Application manager > TSheets.
